Church Board
Gaetz Memorial United Church directs its life and mission through
a Church Board Structure. The Board consists of a Chairperson, Secretary,
Treasurer and staff team members, along with representatives of
all church committees (standing and adhoc) and church groups.
The Church Board meets monthly, usually the 4th Tuesday evening.
Committees report to the Board on a regular basis.
Worship Committee -
For more information, please contact Jan through the office at
347-2244.
Stewardship Committee
Stewardship is the connection to all aspects of church life. This
includes worship, learning, congregational life, outreach and finance.
At Gaetz United, the Stewardship Committee likes to be called the
“Fun and Wild Ideas” Committee. We participate in worship
with Minutes for Mission, promote Earth Day and other environment
issues, promote the Mission and Service Fund with special giving
envelopes and reward with cake! We are currently planning a “Celebrate
Stewardship” campaign for fall 2008.
Christian Development Committee
Meets monthly on the first Thursday evening.

Gifted and Giving
Like wellsprings of living water, planned gifts can help keep the
ministry of Gaetz Memorial United Church vital and fresh for generations
to come.
A planned gift is any contribution which results from a donor’s
careful consideration of how the transfer will affect his/her current
financial planning and estate planning.Estate planning is one of
those things we know we should take care of sooner rather than later,
but human nature often seems to nudge us away from strategizing
over what to do with our stuff upon our demise.
The response isn’t, “Oh, gee, I never thought of that”.
The response is more “yeah, I know, I know I should.”
Estate planning results in the management of your assets, now and
later, for you and your loved ones who survive you. It can include
retirement planning, life insurance, trust arrangements, endowments
and your last will and testament.
When you are doing your estate planning, include a gift for Gaetz
Memorial United Church. Your gift will demonstrate your philanthropic
objectives while optimizing your tax and other financial benefits.
The United Church has an abundance of choices and a richness of
possibilities to consider. We would be pleased to assist you in
reaching your Gift Planning objectives.
