Drumming Circle with the Abbey North Drummers
on Thursday,
May 13 7 - 8pm @ Sunnybrook United Church. Their Mission:
Based in Haliburton County, Ontario, Canada, we drum to help charitable
organizations raise awareness and funds to support HIV/AIDS work
in Africa. They are also dedicated to ecological living, social
justice and the delegitimization of war. This is shown in their
commitment to the Dondi Project which commits to raise at least
$1,000,000 over 12 months in support of local efforts to transform
education in Angola by helping to fund the reconstruction and restoration
of the Dondi school, destroyed through years of conflict and civil
war. Come and enjoy an evening of a drumming circle and conversation
with the Abbey North Drummers.

THE GAETZ CONNECTORS - Pastoral care was noted
as a need in the strategic report and the cottage meetings. Our
church has people who visit the hospital on a regular basis. The
AOTS and UCW groups keep in touch with their members. Our goal is
to make our members feel connected to our church family. If you
or someone you know is a shut-in, new to our church, recovering
from an illness, newlyweds, recently baptized, bereaved, or simply
need a visit by phone or in person, we are a group willing to extend
our hand in friendship. Please call the church office and they will
forward your request to our group. If you would like to be part
of the visiting group, your help would be most appreciated. Please
phone Rosemary at 346-6041 if you are interested in being part of
the group.
